Welcome to the Local Heroes Awards - Thursday, 27th November, 2008 - Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield

LOCAL Heroes is about recognising and rewarding those who, in one way or another, have dedicated themselves to grassroots sports in the North-East.

Now in its ninth year, Local Heroes has grown to be the largest grass roots sports awards ceremony in the region with over 900 people attending last years event with a record numbers of nominations from a vast array of sports.

Its up to you to nominate your sporting local heroes and ensure they are recognised and rewarded for accomplishing extraordinary achievements through pride, passion, determination, dedication and courage.

Local Heroes awards also raises vital funds for Sports Aid Northern a charity, which helps youngsters in our region, participate in sport.
